OIC Introduces Online "Buying Puts" Class

Looking for a new and dynamic way to learn about equity options? Then try The Options Industry Council (OIC)'s latest addition to its online educational offerings, the "Buying Puts" class. This free class is located at OIC's Website.
"The introduction of the Buying Puts online class is timely considering current market conditions. This strategy, which is used by options investors who wish to either profit from a downward price move or protect their current investments, is one of the more popular options strategies used in bear or uncertain markets," said Paul Stevens, OIC President.
The Buying Puts course offers an in-depth introduction to options basics and includes the following topics:
- Applying equity puts for bearish speculation
- Purchasing puts as "insurance" for your stock holdings
- Using long puts in a bullish investment strategy
- Learning about different financial outcomes of your put strategies
A quiz is included at the end of the course to help class participants assess their knowledge and progress.
Investors may repeat the Buying Puts class until they have a solid understanding of the topic.
