Help Desk

Options Investor Services (OIS) is a comprehensive options resource center that provides information and education about options and supports all products traded on all Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) Participant Exchanges.

By calling 1-888-OPTIONS (1-888-678-4667) or e-mailing options@theocc.com, investors may have OIS representatives answer their options questions and process their requests.

Help Desk Hours

  • The Options Help Desk closes at 3:30 p.m. (CT) every Monday for training purposes, but maintains regular hours on Mondays following Expiration.
  • We are open all trading days from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (CT).

Options Investor Services

The functions of OIS include:

  • Answering basic options-related questions on topics such as industry terms, product specifications and discussions about basic risks and rewards associated with options.
  • Responding to more complex strategic and operational questions for specific options trades and strategies.
  • Taking registrations for OIC-sponsored seminars and webinars.
  • Fulfilling requests for The Options Industry Council (OIC), OCC and Exchange-specific materials which include interactive educational software, Options Books and brochures. The center has information about any product OCC clears.

While not soliciting securities or providing investment advice, Options Investor Services desires to motivate investors and brokers to look at the advantages of investing in the options market.
